“Afghan Territory Linked to Increased Terror Incidents, Says Pakistan Army”

The Pakistani Army has reported a rise in terrorist activities originating from Afghan territory.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the army mentioned, “Terrorists from Afghanistan are attempting to cross the Pak-Afghan border to target both security forces and innocent civilians.”

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan, a recent operation in the Sambaza area of Zhob district, Balochistan, since April 21, has resulted in the elimination of 29 terrorists.

The report also noted the death of a Pakistani military officer, Babar Khan, during operations on May 14. The Pakistani Army has consistently called on the Taliban to better regulate their border areas.

The Pakistani government has previously accused the Afghan Taliban of harboring members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan within Afghanistan. However, Taliban officials have repeatedly denied these allegations, maintaining that no group is allowed to use Afghan soil to compromise the security of other nations.
