K-5 SLBM is being made the indian defense and development Organization (dRDO)
Many K Series missiles are deployed in the Indian Navy. Some are in submarines and some in warships. Now India is making such a missile which will worsen the condition of China and Pakistan. This missile launched from a submarine will be able to strike up to 5 to 6 thousand kilometers. That means it will be able to protect the entire country while staying in the sea.
An attack on the enemy from a submarine present inside the sea is extremely dangerous, many times it cannot be detected.
India’s DRDO is constantly testing new missiles. Those that can be fired from land and fighter jets. Now preparations are underway to upgrade the Indian Navy’s missiles. Those missiles that are launched from submarines. The next missile that can be installed in the Indian Navy’s submarines is the K series nuclear ballistic missile K-5. This is a submarine launched ballistic missile (SLBM).
This missile has been developed in the country itself. It can carry a warhead weighing 2000 kg. It can be conventional or nuclear. Its range is currently being said to be 5 to 6 thousand km. But with a light warhead, it can strike up to 8 to 9 thousand kilometers. It is being made by the Indian Defense and Development Organization (DRDO).
If this missile is launched from a submarine present in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), then many major cities of China and Pakistan can be destroyed any minute. Currently, it has been installed in Arihant class submarine and S-5 class submarine. In future, it can be installed in other submarines as well.
The DRDO K-5 ballistic missile is also expected to be fitted with radar deception technology and countermeasures so that the enemy does not know when and where the missile is coming from. Apart from this, MIRV technology can also be fitted in it so that it can target multiple places at once.
India currently has K-4 series missiles
India DRDO currently has a stockpile of K-4 submarine launched ballistic missiles. Whose range is 750 to 3500 km. But when the Navy is building new submarines, it will also need new missiles. In such a situation, K-5 and K-6 SLBM missiles are needed. So that attacks can be carried out at a longer range.

This is an intercontinental nuclear ballistic missile. Its range is 7 to 8 thousand kilometers. It can be fitted with multiple warheads simultaneously. That means it is equipped with MIRV technology. Five targets can be hit with a single missile. It can be fitted with nuclear or conventional weapons weighing 400 kilograms. Its maximum speed is more than 30 thousand kilometers per hour.
K-6 missile is also powerful
This missile is being made now. This 39 feet long missile can carry a nuclear weapon weighing 3 thousand kilograms. It can hit many targets. Its range will be 8 to 12 thousand kilometers. There is a plan to install it in the S-5 submarine.
