In response to a recent explosion in Kandahar that resulted in one fatality and three injuries among their ranks, the Taliban governor’s office has announced a meeting to enhance security measures.

This meeting brought together Taliban security officials and intelligence chiefs from various Kandahar districts.

During the meeting, Mullah Shirin emphasized accountability, stating, “Everyone is accountable in this world and the hereafter, but success belongs to those who best fulfill their entrusted responsibilities.”

He further instructed officials to properly equip Taliban security forces to ensure the province’s safety. The meeting was held on Tuesday, shortly after the explosion.

Mullah Shirin urged the group’s security officials to closely monitor the security forces, correct any mistakes, and coordinate patrols to strengthen security throughout the area.

Deputy Governor Hayat Mubarak stressed the importance of assessing the deployment of forces across all operations and ensuring that security personnel are well-informed of their responsibilities.

He highlighted the role of discipline and rewards in fostering the system’s growth, stating, “Those who fulfill their duties diligently deserve rewards, while those who falter should face consequences.”

Kandahar, a significant stronghold for the Taliban leadership, has experienced numerous bombings. The latest incident on Monday in the city center resulted in six fatalities, including four Taliban members, and fifteen injuries. However, official Taliban reports acknowledged only one death and three injuries from this explosion.
